As an MYP Music and Media Arts Teacher at the International School of Amsterdam, I foster creativity, critical thinking, and global understanding through an interdisciplinary approach. Rooted in the principles of international-mindedness and the IB curriculum, I guide students in exploring the connections between music and media arts, encouraging self-expression, collaboration, and innovation. My role involves designing engaging projects that align with the MYP framework, integrating cultural and technological perspectives to inspire students to develop their skills, creativity, and global awareness in both disciplines
As a substitute teacher at the American School of The Hague, I had the opportunity to engage with a variety of creative subjects, including Band, Strings, Dynamic Theater, Creative Writing and Characterization, Well-being, Dance and Movement. My role involved fostering students' artistic growth, adapting to diverse classroom needs, and maintaining a dynamic and supportive learning environment across these fields. This experience allowed me to contribute to students' creative development while gaining insights into a broad spectrum of performing and literary arts.
My first international school experience was at Santo António International School in Estoril, Cascais, Portugal, where I taught IGCSE Music and IT. In addition to classroom teaching, I initiated and led after-school clubs for Piano, Guitar, Drums, and Video Editing using Adobe Premiere, providing students with creative outlets to develop their skills and explore their passions in both music and media. This role allowed me to blend my expertise in technology and the arts while fostering a vibrant extracurricular learning environment.
